Exploring Fitzroy, a Melbourne neighborhood

Still jet lagged, but slowly starting to feel human. Saturday, David and I met a friend of his from law school who lives here now but is moving to London next week. We wandered through two fun and funky neighborhoods: Fitzroy and Collingwood. Here are just some shots of things that caught my eye.

Typical look of Fitzroy, a once edgy neighborhood that is becoming gentrified.

The view looking up is also interesting.

As a blogger, I enjoy sharing my ideas and thoughts with people, and I get a special thrill when someone leaves a comment. When you share my posts on social media sites, I jump up and down doing a happy dance. So thank you!

The city of Melbourne and its surrounding neighborhoods are quite interesting visually. So many different sights to see. Fitzroy was a bit funky, kind of reminded me of UCity (but in an Australian way). And from what I understand it has become quite pricey.

I love traveling, and vicarious travel. Thank you for creating the latter for us. The spoon chandelier speaks to me (an ice cream eater from a very young age). I’m enjoying all your blogs, the one about being clueless/ seat of the pants/ from the depth of your heart…as a mother really resonated.

Thanks Kathy, so many things to see and do here. Since we are here for 5 months I am pacing myself. Trying to balance between travel updates and my mothering musings. Glad you are enjoying the posts!

It is! Melbourne is an easy place to wonder around. So much to see and so many people to watch.
